can't sleep

I dreamt a chart. Looking for ways to organize language so that it oscillated between sound and symbol; direct experience and progression of meaning, story. Something to do with one's hands...

Cooking Oil is a practice in patience, but still moving forward.

neighborhood dogs, shhhhhhh

...this is hours...

No sleep. No words here and my mind occupies itself with drawing an imaginary thought shaped line with a lead pencil.

I give up and listen to conversations about theater on YouTube. 4:27

Nakayama

Sacred tree, no one knows how old, (the people who keep the tree don't like their picture taken) next to an abandoned colonial mansion - or was it a hotel?

One room had cloth hung on the door. Occupied.

Somehow all of this is living culture.

wedding

I went to my friend Kenneth's wedding.
Last Saturday.
At the Golf Course Hotel.

I took a taxi to the reception and took pictures out the window. Pictures of Kampala. From my camera phone. They aren't in order here.

At the reception, there were white plastic chairs that had cracks and someone had sewn them back together with thick string.

But these photos are out of order.
